The Moment for Women Alliance, through the Let Women Vote Nigeria 2027 Campaign, warmly invites you to join an important national conversation on women’s political participation, representation and leadership in Nigeria.

 

As Nigeria moves toward the 2027 General Elections, women continue to participate actively as voters, election officials, party members, campaign supporters and community mobilisers. Yet women remain significantly underrepresented in elective offices and many of the spaces where political decisions are made.

Recent off cycle elections have again brought this gap into focus and raised an important question:

 

If women are voting, mobilizing and participating, who speaks for them where decisions are made?

 

This webinar will bring together women leaders, electoral stakeholders, civil society organizations, governance experts, political actors, media professionals, advocates, young people and concerned citizens to discuss the barriers limiting women’s political representation and, importantly, the solutions needed to move women from voters to candidates, leaders and decision-makers.

 

The conversation will explore political-party barriers, access to leadership opportunities and campaign financing, violence and intimidation, political networks, misinformation, inclusion, and practical actions that can strengthen women’s participation ahead of 2027.
