Moment for Women Alliance Invites Women-Led Organizations, Partners and Volunteers to Join Its Growing Network

We are pleased to  invite women-led organizations, civil society groups, development partners, volunteers, advocates, and individuals committed to gender equality to become members of our growing network dedicated to advancing the rights and well-being of women and girls.

The Moment for Women Alliance is a registered women-led and women-focused membership group working at the grassroots level to promote women and girls’ human rights across sub-Saharan Africa. The Alliance focuses on second-chance education for women and girls, women’s leadership and political participation, health and reproductive justice, economic justice, women’s inheritance and land rights, climate justice, and movement building to strengthen women-led organizations.

 

The Alliance serves as a platform for Executive Directors of civil society organizations, women’s rights advocates, community leaders, and other stakeholders to collaborate, share knowledge, strengthen institutional capacity, and collectively advance policies and initiatives that improve the lives of women and girls.

Through its programmes and initiatives, the Alliance promotes leadership development, civic and political participation, organizational capacity strengthening, women’s economic empowerment, climate action, advocacy, media engagement, and recognition of women who are making significant contributions to society. It also provides platforms for storytelling, public dialogue, learning, networking, and collaboration among women-led organizations and gender advocates.

Speaking on the invitation, the Alliance reaffirmed its commitment to building a strong movement of organizations and individuals working together to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
